Judges Arrest: Presidency Issues Statement.

Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari GCON, yesterday reacted to the sting operations carried out by the State Security Services (SSS) against suspected corrupt judges in different parts of the country simultaneously on the 8th of October 2016.

While making clear the stand of the Presidency on the matter, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity Mr. Garba Shehu,  said that The President, Muhammadu Buhari while restating his stance as regarding the independence of the judiciary arm of Government, however said that it would be of better purpose if the judges. 

Mr. Garba Shehu also said that the State Security Services (SSS) gave the assurances that their act was in line with the law and the we're in possession of adequate search warrant. 

You would recall that the President in his Independence Day speech, made remarks suggesting that some judges are sabotaging his anti-corruption war, he also made it clear that this won't deter his government from its objective of ridding the judiciary of corrupt workers.
